How SMS Consent Works
Viewing this page does NOT constitute SMS consent and does not send a message or create a patient request. It is an informational description of how consent is collected in the ToothSnap patient flow.
How the patient flow works
- You start at the Get Started page and upload a photo or PDF of your dental treatment plan.
- You see a free price-check preview of your quote.
- You enter your email and mobile number to open your full report. No SMS message is sent at this stage.
- You may then voluntarily choose to request a second opinion from a local practice.
- You review your contact information before submitting.
- A separate SMS consent checkbox — unchecked by default — must be affirmatively checked by you.
- You then press the button labeled “Text me a code to submit my request”. Only then is one verification SMS sent, plus any resends you request.
- You enter the code to verify your number before the request is submitted.
The exact consent language shown
“I request a one-time SMS verification code from ToothSnap at the number provided so I can submit this second-opinion request. One message per request, plus any resends I request. No marketing messages. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. See our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.”
This checkbox appears on the second-opinion request form and is never pre-checked.
What we send — and what we don't
This patient flow sends no marketing messages. One verification message is sent per request, plus only the resends you ask for. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.
